I'm not flexible, can I still do yoga?
Absolutely! While your mobility and flexibility will improve along the way they are in no way a prerequisite for beginning yoga no more than knowing how to swim is a requirement for swimming lessons!
What do I wear to yoga?Comfortable athletic clothing is recommended, some classes are heated and some are a bit cooler, so you can never go wrong with an extra layer to put on or take off. Also, no shows required, we do yoga barefoot!
What do I need to bring?
Bring water and a yoga mat (don’t worry if you don’t have one, we’ve got you covered)
Oh, no! I hated my first class, does that mean I hate yoga or that yoga is not for me?Absolutely not! We do our best to make the perfect recommendation for classes, but every now and then we miss the mark. If you did not enjoy your yoga class let us know! We would be happy to find a different style or teacher that is more suited for you! We all need different things from our practice and we all learn from folks differently.
Focus on your own practice and do not compare your chapter one with someone else’s chapter 15. Remember, we are all writing our own yoga story!Don't be afraid to ask questions before, during, and after class! Have fun, we are happy to have you in our studio!
